ABOUT OUR PROFILES

Cladco’s Metal Roof Cladding can be supplied with Trapezoidal or Sinusoidal profiles which are then fixed to a steel structure of a building, to provide a weathering surface which is both secure and aesthetically pleasing. Cladding panels can be laid vertically or horizontally and are available in a range of colours, or in plain galvanized or Aluzinc.

Metal Roof Cladding can be utilised as single skin or a part of a built-up insulated system. All profiles are CE Marked, giving assurance of conformity to European Product Standards.

Built-up Systems provide thermal performance to comply with Building Regulations Part L and with a Zero Classification for spread of flame it can be designed as part of a fire wall.

Built up systems

Trapezoidal built up roof systems offer Class O surface spread of flame, have an excellent acoustic performance (typically over 40dB SRi) and are normally assessed as ‘Non Fragile’ making them suitable for maintenance access (refer to our technical department for further advice).

The 32/1000 profile is available with or without swages in the pan of the sheet. This sheet will be supplied with swages as standard, but if the ‘Flat-pan’ version is required, it should be clearly stated on the order. Swages do not add to the performance of the sheet, but are mainly an aesthetic feature.

All Cladco roofing profiles can be incorporated into a built-up system, with Cladco Liner Panel, spacer system and insulation, either fiberglass, or Rockwool. Our technical department can advise on the construction of a built-up System, to achieve specific insulation standards.

In-plane rooflights can be incorporated in the Cladco built-up roof system, to provide natural light within the building. Please consult our technical department for details.

CE Marked

In order to confirm the quality of the products offered by Cladco, we have undertaken work on gaining CE Mark approval for our products. All products supplied by Cladco, are CE Marked, in compliance with the Construction Products Directive.

Curving

All Cladco profiles may be curved. Natural curving depends on the depth of the sheet, and recommendations are shown below. Tighter curves are possible, but deformation in the pan of the sheet, may be unacceptable. If tighter curves are required, then all Cladco Trapizoidal sheets can be crimp curved. Care must be taken when detailing crimp curved sheets, as some profiles are ‘handed’, with specific side-lap details. It is therefore necessary to identify the ‘direction of lay’ for these sheets, and that they are installed correctly. Our technical department can assist with identifying the correct details.

Single Skin Application

All Cladco profiles may be used in a single skin application. Due to the effect of cold air in contact with a cold metal surface, condensation is likely to form on the underside of the cladding. Cladco offer a ‘no-con-drop’ coating, to minimize this. This is a fleece-type product, attached to the underside of the sheet, creating a ‘warm’ surface, which absorbs moisture. This then evaporates as the cladding heats up during daylight periods.

No-con-drop

Is used for profile sheets on roofs which can be subject to condensation on the underside and prevents dripping in such cases

Our Colour Chart

Cladco XPS200 coating formulation is specially developed to give superior performance, colour stability and resistance to degradation. The 200 micron plastic coating is applied to hot – dipped galvanised or aluzinc anti-corrosion steel and painted to the reverse side with a light grey backing coat.
